For those of you who have been supporting the Vision Builders 5k event, you’ll know the last couple of years we’ve had some some really challenging weather conditions ! Spring in Michigan is an uncertain time indeed! So we’ve decided to pack it up and move it to September 18 this year.

We’re excited to be putting on our 5th annual race – time flies when you’re eating free pancakes – we’ve had a great time the past 4 years, and raised over $100,000 helping children in rural India and China receive things we take for granted over here – a safe home, education, nutritious meals and medical care. This year our theme is “Run A Race, Build a Home” because proceeds from this year’s race are again devoted to building the Kutumb orphanage to provide a safe home, education and reliable nutrition to homeless children in the slums of Varanasi, India. Again our event will focus on a great family race, including kids runs, kids carnival and free pancake breakfast – to make the connection that kids in our area can make a difference in the lives of kids on the other side of the world.

We’re thrilled to have Running Fit back again as our partner for the race – from the inception of our race, they have helped us in so many ways and continue to take time from their very busy race schedule to lend us a helping hand. Thank you Randy Step and all of the Running Fit crew!

Have a great Spring, and stay tuned for further updates as we draw closer to race day!
